13 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari Itinerary:-
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport
You’ll be picked from the airport and transferred to a hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight stay at Protea Hotel Entebbe (high-end) or The Boma Hotel Entebbe (mid-range). Meal plan: dinner.
Day 2: Visit Mabamba Wetland – Murchison Falls
Mabamba Swamp is west of Entebbe town and is one of the best and most convenient places to see the elusive Shoebill stork. After a few minutes in a small canoe, the papyrus reeds opens up into a flat grassy wetland where a number of shoebills can regularly be seen.
Thereafter, you will embark on a drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and, travel to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Project with picnic lunch. A visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking is a must. Proceed to Murchison Falls.
Overnight stay and dinner at Murchison River Lodge or Paraa Safari Lodge (high-end) or (mid-range facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Part of 13 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Begin the day with a cup of African coffee, before heading for an earl morning game drive. Your guide will help you spot elephants, lions, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribi, bushbucks, Bohor reedbucks, hyenas and if you are lucky, the leopard. You will then return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch.
After lunch, go for a boat safari to the Nile Delta that takes you between 4 – 5 hours. This is one of the most interesting experiences in Murchison Falls National Park, through an extensive papyrus delta through which the Victoria Nile flows into Lake Albert. Here again, there are plenty of wild animals and birds to see with an excellent chance of seeing the rare shoebill stork.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Lake Albert
Leave Murchison falls for Hoima; while driving at your convenience through the great escapements of Biso for great winding scenery of Lake Albert. The afternoon or evening is spent on a game drive for game viewing in the Kabwoya Reserve area.

Day 5: Lake Albert – Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast drive to a place that rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon with enroute lunch at your preferred local hotel or restaurant. Time permitting go for a crater walk around the lodge for sightseeing and photography.
Meals and overnight stay at Kyaninga Lodge (high-end) or Primate Lodge – Forest Cottages (mid-range facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 6: Kibale Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
Today is dedicated for a luxury chimpanzee habituation experience. Start the day with an early morning breakfast and packed lunch before dawn breaks. You’ll first meet your guide for a briefing and then you are off to where the chimpanzees built nests the night before, in the forest. Dawn is just breaking and the chimpanzee community you are going to be with the rest of the day is rising from their sleep in the nests.
Your day will be full so your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees. You will also get a chance to learn to identify as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features set them apart from rest.
Besides everything described, there are the most colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you because the forest setting is simply awesome.

Day 7: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth NP
After an early morning breakfast, ready for a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This walk around the swamp will provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna, View a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects.
Thereafter, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park while viewing the mystical Rwenzori mountain ranges on much of the journey at leisure. The evening will be spent on a game drive safari to for wildlife watching and photography, So expect to see such animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, spotted hyenas, bushbucks, stripped jackals, comical warthogs, and the elusive leopards among others.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Part of 13 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Begin your day with a cup of coffee and an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queen’s Mile. This makes visitors encounter elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda kobs, crater lakes and a variety of bird species.
After lunch, you will take on an afternoon launch cruise along Kazinga channel – one that joins Lakes, Edward and George. The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs, the occasional Nile crocodiles and a spectacular bird watching opportunity. Many who experience this launch cruise consider it the highlight of their entire African safari.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Begin your day with a cup of coffee, before proceeding to Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another evening game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions. Thereafter, you will head to Bwindi. The journey takes about 2 hours but driving through interesting features.
Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – the home of the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red-tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it.

Day 10: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking – Part of 13 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari
Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for your gorilla trekking experience, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the staff of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Ensure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and jungle boots among others.
The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates for a group you have been booked for.
Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas – perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.
Time permitting, you will spend the afternoon on a community foot safari to explore the life style of the people living and surrounding the park. Return to to your lodge exhilarated to relieve the encounter with friends over a drink.

Day 11: Second Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast, you will go for the second gorilla track but in another group returning in the afternoon for relaxation and sightseeing around the lodge.

Day 12: Bwindi – Lake Mburo National Park
After early breakfast, drive to Lake Mburo National Park via Igongo Cultural Village, to learn more about the Ankole and Bahima culture. This is a place where the future meets the past. Proceed to the park with an en-route game drive as you go to check in at your lodge.
Enjoy an afternoon boat ride amidst hippos which is much rewarding and amazing.

Day 13: Lake Mburo – Entebbe
Morning is spent on a bush walk for wildlife viewing and a game drive in the park which is an extension of the Tanzanian plains. The park has big herds of zebras, impalas, elands, warthogs, buffaloes and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin-foot, Papyrus, and Bush shrike among others. Thereafter, you will drive back to Entebbe at your convenience with a stopover at the Equator crossing line with your lunch en-route before driving back to Entebbe. Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
