    8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari & Hiking Mount Sabinyo

    8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari Itinerary:-

    Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport – Kampala

    Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to Cassia Lodge (mid-range), for an overnight stay and dinner. Meal plan: dinner.

    Day 2: Kampala – Kibale National Park

    Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park, just below the Rwenzori mountains. Get on an afternoon guided Bigodi wetland walk in the crater lakes area of the park, for an outstanding cultural visit.

    Meals and over night stay at Primate Lodge/Forest Cottage (mid-range lodge). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch & dinner.

    Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking Kibale – Bwindi (Ruhija Section)

    Get on an half day chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park, to see other primates especially monkeys. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora, to ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters.

    After lunch, you will proceed to Bwindi via Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, you will spot many wildlife species including the giant African elephants, and buffaloes among others. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.

    Dinner and overnight stay at Gorilla Mist Camp (mid-range). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking – Part of 8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking

    Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for your gorilla trekking experience, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the staff of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Ensure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and jungle boots among others.

    The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates for a group you have been booked for.

    Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas – perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.. The afternoon is spent on a village walk.

    The Buhoma Village Walk gives you a great opportunity to see how the people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.  It also is a great way to support the local community in a direct way. The walk begins after a briefing from your guide at your lodge and is most informative, rewarding to the every visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways of life.

    Dinner and overnight stay at Sliverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 5: Bwindi – Mgahinga National Park

    Get on a morning drive at your convenience through Lake Bunyonyi to Kisoro. You may choose to have the afternoon coffee tour or sightseeing a round Kisoro Town.

    Dinner and overnight stay at Traveler Rest Hotel (mid-range). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 6: Sabinyo Volcano Hike – Part of 8 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking

    Today is dedicated for a Volcano hiking experience. This takes around six hours to ascend and descend Mt. Sabinyo (3,645m), topped by a swamp-filled crater and giant lobelia. Lucky climbers may spot golden monkeys on their way through the bamboo forest.

    Mount Sabinyo is one of the numerous rolling volcanoes that make up the magnificent Virunga mountain ranges. These span along the borders of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

    While the other volcanoes either lie in one of the three countries or are shared between two countries, Mt. Sabinyo lies at the meeting point of the all the three borders. It is more like the axis of the Virunga ranges, offering the best views across the Virungas. You could call it a 360 degree experience!

    Dinner and overnight stay at Kisoro Travelers’ Hotel Kisoro (mid-range facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 7: Kisoro – Kigali Rwanda

    Today is dedicated for a transfer in to Kigali, Rwanda. Time permitting; you will have your Kigali city trip, which includes a visit to the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi.

    Overnight stay and meals at Hotel Chezlando (mid-range facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    Day 8: Kigali Airport drop out

    Morning is dedicated for a transfer to the Airport for your departure. Meal plan: breakfast.
