This 4 days gorilla trekking & Ishasha tree-climbing lions takes you to Bwindi forests for an amazing gorilla trekking experience. While on this tour, you will be provided with a unique wildlife encounter in Queen Elizabeth at the Ishasha section for the tree-climbing lions. Fly to Bwindi in just 2 hrs and return by road as you feel the beauty of the countryside and rural setting, with a stopover at the Equator crossing line for photography.
You can choose to stay at the high-end lodge facilities or at our carefully selected mid-range facilities that all come with en-suite rooms, for your comfortable stay during your gorilla and wildlife safari in Uganda.
4 Days Gorilla Trekking & Ishasha Tree-climbing Lions Safari Itinerary:-
Day 1: Entebbe – Fly to Bwindi
Our guide/driver picks you at from your hotel in Entebbe for your transfer to Entebbe International Airports to catch up with a scheduled flight to Bwindi. You can choose to go with a morning flight or with the afternoon flight, while enjoying the beautiful aerial view of the changing landscape.
The flight is only for 2 hours o the lushest highland rainforest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.
On your arrival to either Kihihi or Kisoro airstrip, you will be transferred to your lodge.
Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high-end lodge) or Sliverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range). Meal plan: lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking – Part of 4 days Gorilla trekking & Ishasha
Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for your gorilla trekking experience, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the staff of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Ensure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and jungle boots among others.
The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates for a group you have been booked for.
Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas – perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Gorilla tracking may take between 2 to 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.
Dinner and overnight stay at either Buhoma Lodge/Mahogany Springs/Gorilla Safari Lodge (high-end lodge) or Sliverback Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (mid-range). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 4: Bwindi – Queen Elizabeth Ishasha
Drive through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery, while heading to the southern Ishasha section of Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will spend your afternoon on a relaxation. In the evening, you will get on a game drive in search for the rare tree-climbing lions.
Note: You may choose to have a second night at Ishasha, at an additional cost.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ishasha Wildness Camp (high-end lodge) or Ishasha Jungle Lodge (mid-range facility). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 4: Ishasha – Kampala/Entebbe
Get ready for an early morning breakfast, and a morning game drive to spot more tree-climbing lions. Thereafter, you will return to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator crossing line for photography and lunch en-route. Drive at your convenience back to Kampala and at your choice hotel, place of residence or fly to your next destination. Meal plan: breakfast & lunch.
