4 days, 2 Times Luxury Gorilla Safari Itinerary:-
Day 1: Arrival Kigali – Bwindi (Travel Time +4hrs)
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport (must be on an early flight during daytime). Embark on a drive through the border, to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda. En-route you will have lunch at your hotel choice, and thereafter proceed to Mgahinga.
Dinner and overnight stay at Gahinga Lodge (high-end luxury lodge). Meal plan: lunch and dinner.
Day 2: Mgahinga Gorilla Trekking (Travel time 2hrs)
Begin the day with breakfast as you get ready for your 2 times luxury gorilla trekking safari, which begins at 8:00 am with a briefing from the staff of Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). Ensure that you carry along with you a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and jungle boots among others.
The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates for a group you have been booked for.
Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but it’s well worth the effort.
In the afternoon you will drive to Nkuringo section of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Then get on a relaxation and sightseeing moment around the lodge, as you prepare the experiences of the following day.
Dinner and overnight stay at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (high-end luxury lodge). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Today is dedicated for a second gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest. The afternoon is then spent on a community walk, which gives you a great opportunity to see the lifestyle of people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. It also is a great way to support the local community directly.
The community walk in Nkuringo begins with your guide at your lodge and is one of the most informative and rewarding experience to every visitor. It will amaze you how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways of life.
Bwindi impenetrable forest is one of the lushest highland rain forests on earth, filled with primates, exotic birds, valleys, hilltops and papyrus swamps.
Dinner and overnight stay at Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge (high-end luxury lodge). Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Day 4: Bwindi – Kigali (Travel Time +4hrs)
After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on the drive from Uganda to Kigali, Rwanda. You may choose to have an early lunch en-route in Kigali. Time permitting, you may also visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center before being transferred to Kigali Airport for your outbound flight. Meal plan: breakfast & lunch.
