Chameleon Hill Lodge lies on the shores of Lake Mutanda, between Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Mgahinga is Uganda’s second home for the mountain gorillas. The lodge is in Kisoro town in southwestern Uganda, where you will find a place full of inspiration and enjoyment.
Since the lodge is located on the shores of one of East Africa’s most beautiful lakes, you will enjoy spectacular views across the islands and surrounding hills. In the backdrop are the Virunga volcanoes that will be greeting you.
Take your time, sit back and relax in an environment, which you have never seen before. The “arty” design of the lodge has mainly been influenced by the location of the site itself.
The lodge and every single chalet are positioned in a way that the breathtaking views across the lake and volcanoes is unobstructed at all times. Situated on an altitude of just over 2,000m, it is the perfect location for gorilla trekking safaris to Bwindi or Mgahinga Gorilla national parks. It is also a perfect location for exploring the Virunga volcano mountain ranges.
